Yoncalla sale goes down in History
Don managed to sell one of the pieces of property in Yoncalla and we got paid in GOLD. This paid off the debt owed on the property.

The picnic table is done - Almost
Just got back from the cabin and enjoyed finishing the picnic table. I have enclosed a couple of picture ie, before and after the finishing. Also some interesting shots of the cabin and the bar b que area. Enjoy!

This is the smoke from a very fine bar-b-q. It was a beautiful evening, I just wish all could have gathered around the new picnic table and dined with me. All the while I was building it I imagined in my minds eye a whole bunch of us happily enjoying burgers or chicken or whatever. I figure we can fit 7 on each side and two on each end. I can hardly wait to have everyone up so we can enjoy everyone eating at the same table. I guess it will be at least a couple of years.

What a Mixed Christmas
2009 rounds itself out with a most precious Christmas. It was our first Christmas with just the two of us since we have been married 34 years ago. Of course we missed the chaos of little ones running around but it was quiet and peaceful perhaps much like it was so many years ago in Bethlehem when Christ was born. Tears were shed as we opened the few gifts and saw just how special our kids are. Thanks for the book of memories and spiritual significance. It just became one of the few things that will be taken out of the house in case of fire.
We roasted a small turkey in the pellet bar b que. By the way, the dressing turned out good but Ramona prefers plain dressing. We spent some time on the web cam watching our grandkids, listening to MOTAB CDs and eating our creations such as a pumkin pie that Ramona made. Thank you all for the kind cards, text messages and phone calls. You all make our life so special.

Trying something new
This year's Turkey will be stuffed with something new. Yes, I decided to try 1/4" slices of breakfast sausage, fried up good and brown and then mixed into the regular dressing. Nothing like making it worse for you. Will report on it later if it tastes good. . . . stay warm.
